At HS Sports, we take immense pride in partnering with DME Academy, one of our Elite Sports Academies. DME Academy specializes in developing and nurturing elite basketball players, preparing them for success in college and professional careers. The academy offers a rigorous academic curriculum, cutting-edge facilities, and a competitive schedule featuring some of the nation's best teams and players.
This season, one of the most promising rookies in the NBA, Keegan Murray, has emerged as a shining example of DME Academy's success. The 6-foot-8 forward from Iowa, currently playing for the Sacramento Kings, attended DME Academy for his senior year of high school. With an exceptional rookie performance, Murray has set the NBA all-time single-season 3-point record for rookies, achieving the highest percentage (40.7%) ever for a first-year player with 400+ attempts.
Murray chose DME Academy following his junior year at Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he led his team to a state championship and secured first-team all-state honors. He believed that greater exposure and more challenging competition were necessary to enhance his game and attract the attention of college coaches.
Dan Panaggio, Co-Founder of DME Academy, expressed his pride in Murray's accomplishments, stating, “We couldn’t be more proud of Keegan and Kris. They each put in so much work to get where they are today, and we’re honored that DME Academy was able to be such an integral part of their journey.”
At HS Sports, we are committed to working with DME Academy to help young athletes like Keegan Murray realize their dreams. We eagerly anticipate continuing our partnership with DME Academy, providing the best opportunities for young athletes to achieve success both on and off the court.
